The Actions Panel for Selected Objects Screen¶
The screen is designed to display the actions panel available after selecting objects (files or folders) in the file manager.
Panel Behavior¶
After selecting one or more objects, a popup actions panel appears at the bottom of the screen, containing the following functions:
- Paste — pastes previously copied or cut objects into the current folder;
- Cut — marks selected objects for subsequent pasting;
- Copy — marks selected objects for subsequent copying;
- Delete — displays the dialog "Do you really want to delete the selected files?":
- Yes — deletes objects;
- Cancel — closes the dialog without deleting;
- Secure Delete — deletes files with content overwriting (to ensure impossibility of recovery);
- Share — opens the system "Share" window with a list of applications for sending (available only for files);
- Rename — available only when selecting one object. Displays the "Rename" dialog with a text field:
- After entering a new name:
- OK — renames the object;
- Cancel — closes the dialog without renaming;
- If an object with such a name already exists (in storage types that don't support duplicates) — an error message is displayed asking to specify another name;
- Open With — opens the File Opening Option Selection screen (available only when selecting one file);
- Create Container — launches the Wizard for creating new container from the selected file or folder;
- Open as Container — launches the Wizard for adding existing container to open the selected file as a container (available only for files);
- Set Folder as Forms Folder — converts the selected folder to File Manager in Form Display Mode (available only for folders);
- Properties — displays the object properties screen (e.g., path, size, creation date, etc.) Properties;
- Close Panel — removes object selection and hides the actions panel.
Additionally¶
- If only one object (file or folder) is selected — actions are available: rename, open with, properties, etc.;
- If selection is removed — the panel automatically hides.
