The Path Selection for VeraCrypt Container File Screen¶
The screen is designed to specify the path to a VeraCrypt container file when creating or using it.
Upper part of the screen¶
- Header: "Storage Path".
- "Back" button — returns to the previous step.
Main part of the screen¶
- A text field "Path" is displayed:
- On the right inside the field — an icon-button "Select Path".
- When clicked, opens Folder or File Selection.

After selection, the path is displayed in the text field.

If the path is entered with an error:
- The field is highlighted in red.

Error text is displayed below the field.

Above the field, a hint is displayed, relevant when creating a hidden VeraCrypt container.
Additional functionality¶
If the specified file exists and is not empty:
- A flag "Create hidden container inside current VeraCrypt container" is displayed.
- When the flag is activated, a group "External VeraCrypt Storage Opening Parameters" appears):
- "Password" field — proceeds to Setting Password for Encrypted Storage.
- "Key Files" option — when enabled, opens Key Files Input Dialog.
- "PIM" option — when enabled, opens PIM Input Dialog.
Lower part of the screen¶
- "Cancel" button — cancels container creation and returns to the Storage Manager screen.
- "Ok" button:
- Unavailable if the path is not specified or contains errors.
- If hidden container flag is not set — proceeds to the Setting Unlock Parameters for VeraCrypt Encrypted Storage screen.
- If flag is set — attempts to open external container with specified parameters. Upon successful opening — proceeds to the Setting Unlock Parameters for VeraCrypt Encrypted Storage screen.
