Creating an Encrypted VeraCrypt Container¶
- Tap the "+" icon at the bottom-right corner.
- Select the "Encrypted" storage category.
- Tap "OK" at the bottom-right corner.
- Select "Create new container".
- Choose VeraCrypt as the storage type.
- Tap "OK" at the bottom-right corner.
- Tap the file icon in the path bar to choose the container location.
- Tap the "+" icon at the bottom-right corner to add a new file.
- Select "Create a file" and enter a name for the container.
- Tap "OK".
- Tap the checkmark (✓) icon at the bottom-right corner.
- Tap "Next" at the bottom-right corner.
- Enter and confirm the password.
- Customize additional settings such as unlocking parameters, encryption algorithm, and file system as desired.
- Tick the box next to "Use quick format" if you are not going to create a hidden container inside this container.
- Enter the desired storage size.
- Tap "OK" at the bottom-right corner.
✅ Your encrypted container is now created.
To access it, simply tap on the container and enter your password.
Encrypting a File and Placing It Within the Container¶
- Swipe left to open the source storage.
- Tap the menu icon at the top-left corner.
- Long-press the file you want to encrypt.
- Tap either the copy icon (to keep the file in the source storage) or the scissors icon (cut) in the bottom menu.
- Swipe right to switch back to the encrypted container.
- Tap the paste icon in the bottom menu to move the file inside.
- Tap the menu icon at the top-left corner.
- Tap the lock icon on the encrypted container to close it.
🔒 To reopen the container, tap on it and enter your password.
