The PIM Input Dialog screen

PIM (Personal Iterations Multiplier) determines the number of iterations used when generating a key from a password. The higher the PIM value, the more iterations are performed, meaning higher cryptographic strength (and slower unlocking process).

The screen displays the header "PIM" at the top.

Below is a text field for entering the PIM value. Inside the field is an icon button "Show / Hide PIM" that allows switching the character display mode:

  • By default, entered characters are displayed as dots (●).
  • When the button is pressed — the PIM value becomes visible.
  • Pressing again hides the input.

At the bottom of the screen there are two buttons:

  • Cancel — closes the dialog without saving.
  • OK — confirms the input; the PIM value is saved and the screen closes.
